Our Story
1978:
Jimmy Carter was president, and Disco was king when Papillon’s Pizza first opened their doors in the newly developed Shopko Plaza in Rothschild. Locally owned and operated by the Germinaro family, Papillon’s quickly established themselves as one of Wausau’s favorite hot-spots for pizza, soups, salads, burgers and their world famous Italian Fries.

For over 30 years, the Papillon’s tradition continues! Still one of Wausau’s long-standing and favorite eating establishments,
and still locally owned and operated by the Germinaro family, Papillon’s continues to take great pride in serving hungry guests from Central Wisconsin and beyond. Like the Germinaro family, Papillon’s has grown and made many changes over the past three decades. One thing that will never change is the friendly service and high quality of excellence you’ll experience every time you eat at Papillon’s.
